We have earned a reputation for building long lasting, quality horse boxes, this has resulted in high second-hand values. A used Marlborough is a very much sought after horsebox.

The first Renault Master conversion was manufactured by us in 1996 and the horsebox was later featured in the Daily Telegraph as 'Box of the Year.'

Marlborough now export to New Zealand, South Africa and most European countries. Marlborough Hunters are used by one of New Zealand's leading show jumpers and one of their leading dressage riders.

I can’t rate this company enough! We have had one of their wonderful Lorries for over 8 years now and can’t fault it. Horses travel well in it, it’s lovely to drive. The company is so helpful and prompt at getting back to me regarding any queries I have had after our purchase. I’ve owned a Marlborough horsebox for over 10 years now and it’s brilliant and has never let me down but added to that is the ongoing support provided by the Marlborough team. Any wear and tear they have repaired for me but also had done improvements they feel was needed to the box whilst it’s been with them. Really can’t praise their box and ongoing after sales support.

I love my Marlborough stud box. Lovely sturdy box. Great in-build customer service - I was kept informed with regular honest progress updates. Geraldine and the team were happy to make a few bespoke changes (where some other builders were a blank 'no'). And when I had a post delivery 'niggle', the problem was dealt with promptly and efficiently. Would happily use them again.

When I first started researching two horse boxes, the name that kept popping up was Marlborough. They are not the biggest "Name" but have a reputation for thoughtful no frills design, safety and solidity. Having received my "stud box" I can see why. There are several possibilities and configurations depending on your budget and needs. I opted for the studbox on a new chassis in electric blue. It is possible to have the exact same coachwork built onto a low milage chassis, This lowers the price considerably, and if you are not using the box commercially I'm sure would provide trouble free service for years. I love my box and my horses load easily, travel comfortably and arrive fresh and relaxed wether solo mares, you can travel two with comfort or one with a foal at foot. Thanks Geraldine for a pleasurable purchasing experience, imalmost sorry that it will be many years before I need a new one!

3.5 tonne Horseboxes

We build our unique horseboxes on 3.5 tonne Renault Master or Vauxhall Movano chassis. Our custom designs ensure long-lasting, tough and efficient horseboxes for all types of horse transportation needs. Our first horsebox design in 1996 featured the converted Renault Master and was later described as the ‘Box of the Year’ by the Daily Telegraph. We offer our standard bespoke 3.5 tonne horseboxes in the Sport, Hunter and Colt models, as well as carriage horseboxes and stud horse boxes. The stud horsebox is ideal for safely transporting stallions, mares, foals or problem horses. The carriage horsebox, available on post 2010 FWD chassis, has an extended length, wider doors and extra partitions to enable transport of two horses or three small ponies.
